There is a lot of wrong with EVERYTHING here, but I like my line-work.
The hands will be covered with foam BTW, that’s why I decided to go the “hehe, this makes no fucking sense” way.
Lo-res lineart of my film’s backgrounds. I’m having a lot of trouble coloring these. I want to cry :’-(
This is the rough-animation linetest for scene 4 in my film. Enjoy.

Naked dude semi turn-around.
He’s equal parts Johnny Bravo, Brock Samson, and Jeff Winger.
(I just realized he looks a bit like a buff Edward Cullen… I want to die).
ANIMATION ASSIGNMENT: Lip sync and acting.
It’s not what I wish it was, but I learned a lot from it. I’ll apply this knowledge on my final film (which I start working on Monday… TERROR!!)
Couple of classmate sketches done during life drawing.

This is the one sheet for my final film. Took me about 5 hours? Thought it’d take 3 at the most. Oh well, one day I’ll be fast. On the bright side, I’m getting better at drawing on photoshop from scratch :D
ANIMATION ASSIGNMENT: Noodle
The focus for this assignment was, if I’m not entirely mistaken, to focus on acting and interacting with the background. I think we can all agree that I failed a little bit at both. This could have turned out much, MUCH better if I had used the two weeks we were given, instead of doing everything in two days. (I just HATED this assignment*. HATED it…. HATE IT. PRESENT TENSE).
Most people have gone apeshit with this assignment, making Noodle jump through the entire room, crash against walls, die, etc. I just… I’m not into that level of extreme zaniness for the sake of crazy. Gags, I take them way too seriously.
* It’s not so much that it was difficult, it’s just that I really don’t like the character >:(
These are some of the Color Theory assignments we did for this term. I had only used acrylics a couple of times (ok, 3 times), so most of what I did was a big mess (in account that I was learning how to use them).
Should I be worried that the best ones are those with the dark, murky, dismal colors? :P
FX ANIMATION ASSIGNMENT: Water Bucket.
There’s a lot of wrong with this, but I’m going to pretend it’s done, because I just don’t want to deal with it anymore (I’m actually a huge cry-baby, because I didn’t even put 8 hours into this). I will admit, though, that it was fun pretending I was waterbending :P

Silly Jesus-like drawing of classmate-person Luis Gadea. Possibly the best artist I’ve ever met in real life. You should all go check out his short film. It’ll blow your mind even more when you realize that he did all of that on his own, in the span of 4 months (more or less).
ANIMATION ASSIGNMENT: Dumpo, the Magician.
The focus of this assignment was acting. We were supposed to do all sorts of strong poses and stuff.
The animation on the first 3/4s is terrible because I had things to deal with at home, commissions, COMMUNITY fanarts, and general procrastination habits. However, by the end I feel like I actually learned something. So… not everything was lost?

Animators walking with an annoying hipster filter.
